$165 flat for a standard tuning, no travel fee

Standard tuning
A full aural-checked tuning for a piano that’s roughly at pitch. Usually 90 minutes to two hours.
Pitch correction
Per pass, when a piano has drifted far enough below A440 that one tuning won’t hold.
Repair & regulation
In-home work on sticking keys, pedals, and touch. $95 minimum for a non-tuning visit.
Prices exclude sales tax, which varies by city across the metro.
Credentials
Why the RPT after the name matters
Anyone can call themselves a piano tuner. Registered Piano Technician is different: it’s the Piano Technicians Guild’s credential, earned by passing written, tuning, and technical examinations under the observation of other technicians. It is the only widely recognised standard in the trade.
On top of that I hold a Master of Music in Piano Performance. That combination is uncommon, and it shows up in the work. I know what a piano is supposed to feel like under the hands, not only what the tuning device says.

Everything below happens at your piano, anywhere in the Omaha area. I’m building toward a full shop; until then I’m clear about where that line sits.
Tuning
Standard tuning to A440, with pitch correction passes when a piano has drifted.
In-home repair
Sticking keys, broken springs, loose hardware, squeaks, pedal trouble, bench repairs.
Touch & regulation
Key levelling, let-off, drop, spacing: the adjustments that make a piano respond evenly.
Humidity control
Room assessment and climate systems. Nebraska’s seasons are hard on pianos.
Evaluation
Pre-purchase inspection and condition reports before you buy or accept a piano.

Recital, event, and institutional tuning, including day-of concert prep.
What to expect
A first visit, start to finish

You call or write
Tell me the make, roughly how long since its last tuning, and where you are. That’s enough for me to quote accurately before I arrive.

I assess before I tune
I check pitch, condition, and anything mechanical that needs attention, and tell you what I find, including when the honest answer is that a piano isn’t worth the work.

The tuning
Ninety minutes to two hours for most pianos. You’re welcome to stay or get on with your day; I just need the room reasonably quiet.

We finish at the keyboard
I play it, you play it, and I tell you plainly what it needs next and when. Not a sales pitch, a maintenance plan.
